Are you coming with a group smaller than 20 people? Then you can buy tickets for a regular tour.
Group tour
Are you planning to come with a group of 20 people or more? Then booking an appointment is mandatory. This way we can guarantee you a guide and time.
School tour
For schools with a group of 20 or more students, advance reservation is also required.

Are you coming with a group smaller than 20 people? Then you can order tickets online for a specific day. You can also buy tickets at the box office. The tours start every hour. Make sure to be there 10 minutes before the hour.
Group tour
Advance booking is required for groups of 20 or more people. You reserve a guide for each group of 20 to 35 visitors.
School tour
Are you coming with a school? Special prices apply and one supervisor per 20 students is free. Pre-booking is also required here.

For groups and schools, we can be visited daily by appointment from 09:00. Evening visits are also possible.
The coal mine is accessible and suitable for all ages. Children from 0 to 4 years are even free.
Yes, Steenkolenmijn Valkenburg is accessible for wheelchair and walker users. A (assistance) dog is also allowed.
A dog is allowed in the mine, if it does not cause a nuisance. It goes without saying that you do clean up any mess.
